Particle Wrapper

The particle system library has been developed by Stephan Reiter and Christian Wressnegger originally for the netOdrom application. It is bulid on top of OpenSG and provides the possibility to define particles in an XML format and run them afterwards in OpenSG in connection with inVRs or as well as a simple OpenSG tool without using the framework.

With the provided particle library it is possible to display the exact same scene and particle states on several interconnected systems. It uses enhanced synchronisation mechanisms based on the linear congruence theorem to keep consistency.

Features

  • Freely configurable via XML
  • Arbitrary configuration of particle systems
  • Efficient with network connections
